Former Montana high school student Renee Griffith was told she could not speak at her graduation because her speech contained religious references. In particular, the valedictorian was told she had to remove references to God and Christ. Though a lower court ruled in favor of the school district, the Montana Supreme Court overturned that ruling 6 to 1.
